Kelly Perkins started making soaps in her basement in Golden, Colorado. Today, Spinster Sisters has a full line of skin- and hair-care products that are crafted at the company’s over 8,000 sq. ft. wind-powered microsoapery. Every product is formulated using simple, recognizable ingredients with incredible scents.

In 1993, Adam convinced his dad to invest in his brewing skills, and Avery Brewing Co. was born. His brewery has been committed to producing local eccentric ales and lagers that defy styles and categories. The end products are thoroughly American at heart — blending Old World tradition and expertise with ingenuity, creativity and boldness right here in Colorado.

With a rich selection of flavors, including Salty Caramel and Mango Mezcal, Boulder, Colorado–based Gelato Boy is easy to fall for. After founder Bryce found love in Italy — not only for his wife, Giulia, but also for gelato — they moved back to the States and began experimenting to make the perfect gelato. Once they did that, they made more, including nondairy flavors.

The Gutknecht and Niedermann families have been producing some of the finest charcuterie products in Switzerland for generations. In 1982, they made the move to Denver and opened CharcutNuvo — using Animal Welfare Certified beef and pork. They serve a variety of old-world, European-style, unique flavor creations like Smoked Buffalo and Mac-n-Cheese Furters.

Located in Boulder County, Colorado, Picaflor makes delicious hot sauces and pepper flakes from produce grown on their organic farm. Using fermentation, they create vibrant flavor and spicy heat in all of their products. Chef and founder, Marcus McMauley, realized his goal of creating fermented food through Picaflor.

After Boulder–based Dr. Allen Lim couldn’t find any products that met the needs of his athlete clients, he took matters into his own hands. Using no artificial sweeteners, he created Skratch — sport hydration drink mixes that include real fruit juice for flavor.

Based in Denver, Teatulia works with farming cooperatives in northern Bangladesh, where one of the largest tea gardens in the world grows. Not only are they helping to improve the lives of the Bangladeshi community by providing jobs and innovating cattle-lending programs, they also design their tea bags free of excess packaging like strings, tags and staples.
