Wholesum has a lot going for them — this organic supplier was the first farm to receive domestic Fair Trade USA certification, and today has grown to have an international presence. But dig a little deeper and you’ll discover that they’re nurturing more than the earth. When you top your salad with these gems, you are contributing to: building a mini market for their farmworker community in Sonora, Mexico, that sold $288,000 of at-cost goods; starting a low-cost shuttle service for workers; and providing transportation to school for 315 students. Plus, free dental and eye care services — there’s plenty of love to go around.
